Yes, of course.

My brother left India when he was just 22, and I was 18. Just a few years after he had left, I had a dream. In this dream, I was in New York with my brother. We had gone out sightseeing, and on our way back, we were walking from the train station to his apartment. It was raining, the road was a little rough and under repair, and small shops lined the sides with awnings. During our first visit to the U.S., we did visit New York, and after a sightseeing trip, we were indeed returning and walking from the station to the apartment. Believe it or not, it was raining, the road seemed to be under repair, and I did see some shops, just like in my dream.

Another night, another dream. My brother was taking me to a hospital for an eye check-up, and the building remained ever so clearly etched in my mind. During that same first visit mentioned above, it wasn't my elder brother but my elder son who took me to a hospital in downtown Seattle for an eye check-up. When I saw the building, I had a shock—it was the same one I had seen in my dream. The scenario I had dreamt of had replicated in reality.

Now, to my wife’s experience. On the same trip, we had been to Vancouver. We went up Grouse Mountain—hope the name is right—in a gondola. There was a restaurant at the top, and inside it was a totem pole. My wife stopped in front of it and kept staring. She later said she had seen this very totem pole a long time back, perhaps in her dreams.

As I was thinking about writing on this topic, there was a YouTube notification for an Andrew Huberman podcast on 'The Science Behind Dreams, Nightmares, and Lucid Dreaming.' Pondicherry Mother has also written a book on dreams. I have yet to listen to the podcast, but I'm eagerly waiting to do so.
